Bonjour, je m'appelle Geneviève.

 

Je suis artiste multidisciplinaire depuis plus de 25 ans et mère célibataire. Mon parcours est issu de différents champs artistiques, D'abord la danse et les arts visuels, puis la vidéo.

 

Exploratrice cherchant un sens au rôle de l'artiste en ce début de millénaire échevelé, je dirais que la poursuite de la métaphore poétique constitue l'essenciel de ma démarche artistique. Comment présenter notre monde comme mythe moderne, présenter le corps comme art vivant ou objet de réflexion ? Je travaille sur la théâtralité des corps physiques ou plastiques, sur la vie dans sa performativité.

 

Voici une de mes œuvres récentes ayant pour titre : Fée Bleue en confinement. Développée au cours de la pandémie et du premier confinement, elle met en exergue un dérèglement de communication ou un certain isolement.

 

Je suis reconnaissante d'être invitée à exposer de nouvelles œuvres pour un gallériste en 2022. La date et le lieu exact seront à confirmer. En ce moment je dois commencer le processus de création et je fais face à d’importantes embûches financières, ce qui représente une entrave majeure à la réalisation du projet et à répondre à cette excellente opportunité de me définir davantage comme artiste multidisciplinaire. C’est pourquoi je fais appel à votre appui.

 

Je fais de grands tableaux dans une installation et avec votre support, je serais en mesure d'acheter le matériel principal pour les accomplir. Mon but est d’amasser 2000 $ d’ici le 15 janvier 2021. Toute sommes est très appréciée.

 

Cette exposition, s’inscrivant dans ma démarche, compte énormément pour moi car elle soulignera un nouveau départ.

 

Chaque contributrice et contributeur sera mentionné dans la programmation et les publications liées à l’exposition, en plus de recevoir une petite reproduction d’œuvre et un très GROS MERCI.

Hi, my name is Geneviève.

 

I have been a multidisciplinary artist for over 25 years and a single mother. My background comes from different artistic fields, first dance and visual arts, then video.

 

Explorer seeking a meaning in the role of the artist at the beginning of this dishevelled millennium, I would say that the pursuit of the poetic metaphor constitutes the essence of my artistic process. How to present our world as a modern myth, to present the body as a living art or object of reflection ? I work on the theatricality of physical or plastic bodies, on life in its performativity.

 

Here is one of my recent works entitled: Blue Fairy in confinement. Developed during the pandemic and the first confinement, it highlights a disruption of communication or a certain isolation.

 

I am grateful to be invited to exhibit new works for a gallerist in 2022. The dates and place are to be confirmed. At the moment I have to start the creative process and I face significant financial difficulties, which represent a major obstacle to the realisation of the project and to respond to this excellent opportunity to define myself more as a multidisciplinary artist. That’s why I’m asking for your support.

 

I make large paintings in installation and with your support I would be able to purchase the main material to accomplish them. My goal is to raise $ 2,000 by January 15, 2021. Any amount is greatly appreciated.

 

This exhibition, which is part of my approach, means a lot to me because it will mark a new beginning.
