Annie needs some Angels

Donation protected
Annie Ford is my mom & has several very serious medical / health conditions, with the most serious being MP, Neurofibromatosis, Schwannoma Tumor, and a rare form of Squamous Cell Carcinoma.
Annie’s deteriorating condition has forced her to resign from her career as a mail carrier in Albany.
Annie’s health decline began with a nerve disease called MP in her legs that has been slowly taking her ability to walk. Due to this disease, Annie had major back surgery on March 9, 2022. She is unable to walk without a walker or other assistance.
She also has a tumor disease called Neurofibromatosis that has caused several tumored masses to be removed, but the ones in her brain are inoperable. She has a Schwannoma tumor on her left auditory nerve that is causing her to lose her hearing.
The cancer is currently being treated with radiation, but could result in amputation if the treatments fail.
Annie is currently awaiting disability and struggling to make ends meet. Though her husband is now the only provider, doctor bills and medication expenses are constant and mounting. TIA

UPDATE #1: Mom had her appt yesterday where they were to amputate part of her finger due to the cancer. They ended up only taking out a portion of the nail bed, in hopes that it hadn't spread to the whole finger. We'll find out more at her next appt in a couple of weeks. In the mean time, please continue share this, and continue the prayers for her. They're greatly appreciated!

UPDATE #2: (I'll try to keep this as short as possible) Mom had a tooth extracted on Aug. 22. Long story short, she became extremely sick from the antibiotic that was given & was admitted to the hospital for 4 days. (She just got home today around 5pm.) From the time span of Aug. 22 - Sept. 3rd, she hadn't been able to keep ANYTHING down. So she had no appetite, meaning she went from Aug. 22 thru Sept. 3rd without food! She still tries to eat, but has no appetite and is sticking with a clear, bland diet.

She is FAR from being 100%, and unfortunately, she's had a setback at home today. Hopefully it'll be better tomorrow. I'll stop in later when there is another update.

PS: Thank you to EVERYONE for your donations, shares & encouraging words. You have no idea the impact this has brought. Please continue to share; every day if you can, and help us spread the word to help my sick mom.

With love and appreciation,
God bless you all!

UPDATE #3: Mom got the call on Tuesday about her cancer results. They had sent the biopsy off to the Cleveland Clinic for a 2nd opinion. We already knew it was Squamous Cell Carcinoma, but this confirms it, but also raises a new problem..
The cancer she has is usually very treatable, but this particular case, it has been confirmed that NONE of the doctors have ever seen squamous in this condition. It is a very rare form of this cancer.
They were talking about cutting the finger off, but that poses another host of medical problems because mom is diabetic. So, she has opted for treatments. She'll find out everything she'll need to begin the treatments, once she goes to her scheduled consult. On that note.. another update will be given when more is available.
Thank you to EVERYONE who has donated, shared or prayed. I know she appreciates the love & support, so do we! *her family*
Please keep sharing!!

UPDATE #4: THANK YOU! Not really an update , but more of an appreciation post.
We've raised $500 through the GoFundMe & it's been humbling to see people come together to show their love, even when they don't know her, nor does she know them. What an amazing sight to see!
Through all of the donations here, cash donations & the Online Auction that was set up for her, we've raised over $1700! She is so very grateful and wishes she could thank everyone personally! What a beautiful way to give back to someone who has always given so much of herself, so selflessly! (Even to complete strangers!)
(Although she's been told it's not) mom doesn't want to seem greedy, even though $5000 only helps offset some medical expenses, and certainly doesn't pay them off!
She begins her treatments next week though, so please continue to lift her in prayers. Even though she may not say it, she's scared of what is to come & the expenses that she'll incur, which is why the rest of us feel keeping focus on the original amount (or higher) is important. Just trying to ease some burden from someone who has always done the same for me, and many others!
Thank you, again! To everyone who has helped in any way, even if just a prayer or a share! Please keep the love coming her way!
With love & appreciation,
God bless you all!

Update #5: There have been 2 more biopsies taken, 2wks ago; expecting results any day now.. Please pray that the outcome isn't what they believe it may be. As far as the current treatment plan, the burning is setting in & is beginning to be a little rough, but the continued faith & strength is steadfast. Please consider giving to the cause, because even $5 helps with the bills! TIA

Update 5
Mom fell & broke her right hand/ thumb & had to have surgery to repair the ligaments. This had put a stop to her treatments right now because it's the same hand she broke.
She got her stitches out yesterday (03/27/24) & now has along road of PT to go thru. They said it will take 8 to 12 MONTHS before she's back to her natural mobility.
She's been having some issues with the Schwanomma tumor so her Neurologist has put in an order for another MRI to see if it's grown so she's just waiting for them to call to get it scheduled.
All this just means more medical bills are coming in, bringing more anxiety & uncertainty.
Please continue to share this. Every $ dollar amount & share matters!
TIA
