AIELOC Advocacy Fund

Hello, everyone:

In light of various community members sharing cases of discrimination, biased (and hostile) retaliations as well as unsubstantiated contract terminations from their institutions, we have assessed a need for an advocacy fund to help provide resources for our current and paid AIELOC members.

Too many of our fellow educators are suffering from consistent challenges, overt/covert racist behaviors from leaders and at times unfair dismissals, because dehumanizing systems that uphold inequities are still very prevalent in international schools.

We plan to use the advocacy fund to financially support our members. Based on the constant stories that are shared in our space, it is clear that many educators are up against powerful institutions that not only perpetuate injustices but have the resources to silence employees who dare to advocate for themselves, their colleagues or their students.
It is time to hold these institutions accountable for their inequitable and racist practices.

We appreciate any help you can provide as we take action toward a more just international school community where everyone can feel truly valued and have a sense of belonging.

Thank you for your support.
