Funeral Fund for Aijalon M. Gomes

"I pray God will use my life and, if the case may be, my death...No one has a claim on God -- God belongs to all of us and is in all of us - why waste time fighting over rights to the Almighty...The greatest command is love - no matter who or what you are."
Aijalon Mahli Gomes

The world may see Aijalon as the American teacher whose freedom from captivity for crossing the China-North Korea border was negotiated, in part, by President Jimmy Carter, but we knew him as a loving, kind, compassionate, and God-fearing soul. We received the devastating news that Aijalon’s life ended tragically, far from home, on November 17, 2017. As we mourn the loss of our son, brother, and friend, we are again bearing the heavy emotional and financial burden of returning him home, and preparing to celebrate his life and homegoing. If Aijalon has touched your life in any way, big or small, please consider donating and/or giving a tribute of words so that we may be comforted by your generosity and memories of Aijalon’s happiest days in our time of deep sorrow.

With an abundance of gratitude and appreciation,
Jackie, Milton, Shawn, Dierdra, Latifah, and Milton Jr.
