This is so hard to put out there, but as some know, my brother Bobby and I lost our Mom this last week. This is something we were not expecting and definitely not prepared for.
Our mom was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served her country honorably in communications. Mom enjoyed arts, crafts, photography, traveling the country from coast to coast, and especially spending time with her dogs, who were more like her human children. She would say Kiwi was like my brother and Sassy, well I'm sure you can guess was like me. Her restlessness and adventurousness brought her all over the country. She will be greatly missed and remembered for her free spirit. Bobby and I decided we were not going to hold the typical memorial service, so Bobby and I had her beautiful Military Honors ceremony presenting both Robert and I with a flag with Cousin Wendell, Cousin Judi, and Aunt Joyce present. We will be scattering her ashes in her favorite places from coast to coast individually.
With no Will that we know of we are the ones in charge of making sure our Mom and her things are taken care of. As hard as it is to say, I have to put my pride aside and try my hardest to help recoup the cost of services, travel for this travel as well as future travels to handle moms estate (home and furnishings) and especially an Estate Attorney due to us both living in different states from mom. At this point anything would help. All donations will go towards fees and processes and any remaining will be split equally between Bobby and I.
