Walk for Oscars Kids in memory of Ailish Cowhey

On the 17th of April 2023 after an 18 month battle, we lost our beautiful daughter, sister, auntie and friend Ailish at the age of 17, to Brain Cancer. Throughout her illness she remained brave, funny, loving, and strong willed. She lived every day to the fullest and kept us smiling.

We received amazing support from Oscars Kids Ireland making beautiful memories with Ailish. With the help of Crescent Comprehensive Secondary School Limerick, we want to raise funds for this amazing charity to honour our beautiful Ailish. Oscars kids is an Irish Charity based in county Dublin. It was set up by Yavanna and Lar in memory of their cherished son Oscar who passed away in July 2019 after a 19 month battle with a brain tumour. Together with their youngest son Teddy they run this amazing charity.

Oscars kids is committed to providing love, support and friendship to the families of terminally I’ll children in their time of need and forever more. They help make precious memories with magical moments, financial aid and special outings, as well as endless other acts of kindness.

Oscars kids are the very first Irish charity of their kind, easy recognizable by their red bowler hat and snazzy blue spec’s. No donation is too small, and all funds will go towards supporting families of children with cancer in palliative care.
