CCF - Air Conditioning in the West Bank, Palestine
Tax deductible
Child's Cup Full (CCF) is an organization that creates lasting economic growth for Palestinian women by providing talented refugee and low-income artisans training and job opportunities. Operating in the West Bank, CCF supports dozens of families with steady employment through the leadership of our founder, Dr. Janette Habashi.
These women work in a small workshop in the village of Zababdeh, in the region of Jenin which has been the focus of so much conflict in recent weeks. The modest structure provides what the women need for workspace, but has no air conditioning which can lead to uncomfortable working conditions at peak summer temperatures.
Some of you may have supported or even worked with this organization before, familiar with the challenging dynamics of operating a small business in Palestine. For those of you who may be new to this challenge, know that every dollar helps bring the dignity of work to those who experience upwards of 90% unemployment.
We are trying to raise a total of $5,000 USD to give the women of CCF a more comfortable working environment. This includes:
- $2,000 USD for needed electrical upgrades on the building to support AC units
- $3,000 USD for the actual AC units
This will bring the following benefits:
- A more comfortable working environment
- Increased productivity in high-temperature months
- Better storage conditions, prolonging the life of materials and equipment
Please help us reach this goal and create a place that supports this critically important organization. Every bit helps as we focus on growing the business to employ even more in this region.
Thank you!
