Help Rebuild Abaco Church

It was September 1, 2019 as Sunday school was underway at 9:45 am followed by regular church services at 10:30 am.   This Christian congregation was engaged in singing and giving thanks to God as the wind speed steadily increased outside.  Before long, it sounded like a freight train was descending upon the building.   After the windows were blown in from the ravishing winds of major Cat 5 hurricane, the roof began move and depart from the main walls as everyone began to escape and run for cover.   As the church doors flung open, the main structure and load bearing walls finally gave in and began to come crashing down trapping those within mounds of rubble.  The church was completely destroyed as those witnessed this horrific force of nature first hand.  

Fast forward to nearly a year later and all the ruins of this wonderful church structure that served the community since 1982 have all been cleared away leaving only the foundation of a sterile concrete slab.   Sunday services are now are being held under a small canopy with a few folding chairs.    Unwavering in their faith, this amazing congregation is committed to rebuild and could use your financial support.  

Please consider contributing to this noble and humble effort to reconstruct this church providing these loving and caring people of Abaco Island a restored place to worship.  An initial goal per Mr. Bain (to purchase building materials and begin the rebuild) was set at $100K.  Your financial support no matter how modest will be put to good use and will be very much appreciated.
