Aerial Inspection Team LLC. Is a drone service provider located in southern Wisconsin. Providing services including mapping, photography, thermal inspections, search and rescue etc.
In the past year alone we have been a part of 3 human and 9 animal search efforts with amazing results. To many people the loss of a pet is equivalent to the loss of a family member and after a couple days with no sign we get a call. We use our Inspection and survey UAV's (drones) equipped with powerful cameras as well as thermal sensors to quickly scan vast areas and locate points of interest. We then fly over with smaller units and if a positive ID is made or it looks promising we guide search teams in on foot by radio. We love to help, we enjoy the work and have even designed a mobile base station for search teams to meet and rest or assist with reviewing videos . However, it is very time consuming to do properly and can become very costly. Depending on the equipment needed we can (at any given time) have enough hardware flying or in the field to put us under if there were a loss of any kind. We have run into the same problem over and over. We hate to create a financial burden for families while they are already stressed so we take on the cost. These missions are ALWAYS emergency flights with very little time to plan and many times during bad weather. We pride ourselves on being good at what we do and bring as many crew members as possible but these are the most hazardous for our equipment and time consuming for our crew.
After an amazing ammount of support for the idea, we set up this account for donations specifically assigned to search and rescue missions. Anyone can donate whatever they are able and every bit will allow us to help more and reduce our risk. This way when disaster hits a family and our crews are available we don't have to require payment
These funds would be used for paying crew members and pilots for their time, contacting airports, FAA clearance and other legal restrictions we are required to follow as licensed professionals. This will also allow us the added insurance for the equipment that is our livelihood. If there is enough support we may even be able to purchase additional rescue gear.
We look forward to continuing to be able to help whenever we can!
We will have "AIT/Rescue" T-shirts and more for any larger donations. We were required to set a goal but for now we simply want to get started and see where it goes. The more this is shared and the fund grows the more we can assist. Maybe someday we will have enough to have an entire network of pilots in different areas with the ability to help anywhere!
