Per ricostruire la nostra casa a Brisighella

ENG - May 16, 2023: it was raining heavily and the clay soil was already soaked in water from the previous days.

An evening like many others, while sitting on the sofa, you hear an anomalous sound, but one that leaves no doubt about the danger it brings. In an instant you have to decide to leave your house and save yourself because it is slipping away from the hill and chasms are opening in your garden, in the fields, in the valley around you.

It took a while to believe it was real, initially the instinct was to give up everything, then passion prevailed.

The Valpiana hill in Brisighella was the place we had chosen to live at, just three kilometers from the main road, but at the same time immersed in a unique, isolated and special dimension. It had welcomed us offering a life that made us grateful thanks to the beneficial contact with nature.

Of course, it required effort: the hilly land must be cared for and cultivated, but it rewarded us with excellent oil, wine and genuine food. The happiness of sharing the landscape with so many friends, athletes and non-athletes, during the "Trail dell'Ulivo" race has given us special and unrepeatable moments.

The water swept everything away, perhaps driven by a spring that seemed dead but has found life again. Now we have to conceive a new life, starting from what remains: the love for the land.

With this campaign, we hope to get the indispensable help to reactivate and develop the opportunities that the hills offer us. We thank you very much for your support!

ITA - 16 maggio 2023: c’era una forte pioggia, i terreni argillosi erano già intrisi d’acqua dai giorni precedenti.

Una sera come tante, seduto sul divano, senti un suono anomalo, ma che non lascia dubbi sul pericolo che porta. In un attimo devi decidere di lasciare la tua casa e metterti in salvo perché sta scivolando via dalla collina e voragini si aprono nel tuo giardino, nei campi, nella valle intorno a te.

Ci è voluto un po' per credere che fosse vero, inizialmente l'istinto era gettare la spugna, poi la passione ha prevalso.

La collina di Valpiana a Brisighella era il luogo che avevamo scelto per vivere, a soli tre chilometri dalla strada principale, ma allo stesso tempo immersa in una dimensione unica, isolata e speciale. Ci aveva accolto offrendoci una vita che ci rendeva felici grazie al contatto benefico con la natura.

Certo, richiedeva fatica: la terra collinare va curata e coltivata, ma ci ricompensava con eccellente olio, vino e cibo genuino. L'emozione di condividere il paesaggio con tanti amici, atleti e non, durante la corsa del Trail dell'Ulivo ci ha regalato momenti speciali e irripetibili.

L'acqua ha spazzato via tutto, forse spinta da una sorgente che sembrava morta ma ha ritrovato vita. Ora dobbiamo inventarci una nuova vita, partendo da ciò che rimane: l’amore per la terra.
