Aiutiamo Cosmo, il pit da un occhio solo

Giovedì 13 marzo 2025, mentre portavamo i nostri cani in area cani, ci siamo imbattuti in una scena straziante: un maschio di pitbull, che abbiamo chiamato Cosmo, cieco da un occhio e quasi completamente dall’altro, con un evidente versamento addominale e infestato dalle pulci. Era spaesato, confuso, sbatteva contro gli oggetti, incapace di orientarsi o difendersi. Se lo avessimo lasciato lì, sarebbe stato investito.

Non potevamo portarlo a casa: il nostro pitbull non è compatibile con altri maschi e non avevamo modo di separarli. Così, abbiamo contattato la polizia municipale, ma ci è stato detto che non avevano personale disponibile per prelevarlo e ci hanno chiesto di portarlo noi al canile.

A mezzanotte lo abbiamo accompagnato in canile, dove abbiamo scoperto che non ha microchip. Ha ricevuto solo le prime cure di base e, con il cuore a pezzi, lo abbiamo dovuto lasciare lì. È evidente che sia stato abbandonato: è abituato al guinzaglio, alla manipolazione e all’auto. Nonostante tutto quello che ha subito, è di una dolcezza disarmante. Si affida subito alle persone e cerca costantemente contatto.

Ma il canile non è il posto giusto per lui. Cosmo ha bisogno di cure specialistiche e di una pensione sicura dove possa essere seguito come merita. Per questo chiediamo il vostro aiuto: ogni donazione, anche piccola, ci permetterà di pagare visite veterinarie, terapie e una sistemazione adeguata per lui.

Non possiamo cambiare il suo passato, ma possiamo garantirgli un futuro dignitoso. Aiutateci a dare a Cosmo una seconda possibilità!

Thursday, March 13, 2025, while taking our dogs to the dog park, we came across a heartbreaking scene: a male pitbull, whom we named Cosmo, blind in one eye and almost completely in the other, deaf, with a noticeable abdominal swelling, and infested with fleas. He was disoriented, confused, bumping into objects, unable to find his way or defend himself. If we had left him there, he would have been hit by a car. We couldn’t take him home: our pitbull is not compatible with other males, and we had no way to separate them. So, we contacted the municipal police, but they told us they had no available staff to pick him up and asked us to take him to the shelter ourselves. At midnight, we brought him to the shelter, where we discovered he had no microchip. He only received basic first aid, and with broken hearts, we had to leave him there. It is clear that he was abandoned: he is used to a leash, handling, and car rides. Despite everything he has been through, he is incredibly sweet. He immediately trusts people and constantly seeks contact. But the shelter is not the right place for him. Cosmo needs specialized care and a safe place where he can receive the attention he deserves. This is why we are asking for your help: any donation, no matter how small, will allow us to cover vet visits, treatments, and a proper accommodation for him.
