Mi chiamo Luca, abito in un piccolo paesino vicino a Imola, Casalfiumanese, e ho 34 anni.

A 17 anni, allenandomi per il campionato europeo di supermotard ho avuto un incidente, che mi ha reso tetraplegico e completamente dipendente dalle persone che ho intorno e che mi vogliono bene.

Sono sempre stato fin da piccolo un tipo intraprendente e appassionato, soprattutto di moto, passione che, nonostante tutto, non è passata!

Da quando ho avuto l'incidente la mia vita è cambiata, e tra le tante cose che non ho più potuto fare c'è anche l'andare a fare un giro da solo, semplicemente, per godermi un po' di sole o schiarirmi le idee.

Durante l'ultimo anno ho trovato persone competenti che mi hanno fatto scoprire la carrozzina elettrica che si può comandare con il mento, attraverso i movimenti della testa, l'unica parte del mio corpo di cui ho il pieno controllo e le poche prove che ho fatto mi hanno restituito una capacità che ho perso a 17 anni: la possibilità di muovermi in autonomia e di andare dove voglio, senza che nessuno debba spingermi e accompagnarmi! Un sogno!

Il problema è, ovviamente, il costo: io e la mia mamma non possiamo assolutamente permettercela.

Io lavoro part time come disegnatore meccanico e la mia mamma non lavora perché si occupa di me full time.

Le spese sono molte e non ho i 12.000€ necessari per quella carrozzina, quindi sono qui a chiedere aiuto a voi, se vorrete.

During the last year I have found competent people who made me discover the electric wheelchair that can be controlled with the chin, through head movements, the only part of my body of which I have full control and the little evidence I have In doing so, they gave me back an ability that I lost at 17: the ability to move independently and go where I want, without anyone having to push me or accompany me! A dream!

The problem is, obviously, the cost: my mother and I absolutely cannot afford it.

I work part time as a mechanical designer and my mother doesn't work because she takes care of me full time.

The expenses are many and I don't have the €12,000 needed for that wheelchair, so I'm here to ask you for help, if you want.
