AJ Marmion Accident Recovery Fund

Hello! My name is Michelle Ries, and I am raising funds to help a close friend of our family.

On Wednesday, September 14th, 2022, while driving home from work, AJ Marmion was in a major car accident where a semi-truck hit the passenger side of his car.

He suffered many severe injuries, including a broken jaw which required surgery to correct, and facial fractures, including his eye socket. He also suffered a severe concussion.

His memory and cognitive function are returning daily, and the hope is he will soon regain all cognitive function and overcome any physical limitations due to his head injuries. His jaw was split in half, and both sides needed reconstruction. Unfortunately, part of his jawbone is missing and will require bone grafting surgery in the upcoming weeks. Considering the extreme nature of the accident, he is unbelievably lucky.

He has a long road of recovery ahead of him but has a great attitude and will do whatever is needed to make that process happen for him.

He was treated at the University of Wisconsin Madison Hospital, where he was given supreme care and attention. AJ and his family can’t thank them enough for giving him that over and beyond care. Because of them, AJ can now spend his days recovering with his wife Kristina and looking forward to the birth of their child in March.

I hope to raise enough money to help AJ and his family replace the car lost in the accident, recoup his lost wages due to missing work following the accident and help them begin to repay hospital bills.
