Aja meets The Aimers Kids Foundation in Uganda

Donation protected
Hi Beautiful People!

My name is Aja Cobbs and I am the founder and creative director of The Art Trap House (TRAP = Taking Real Art Places). The Art Trap House is a traveling music and arts festival that offers opportunities to creatives for an opportunity to showcase their talents as well as "flip" their money through shows, events and festivals curated by me. This is a business designed with the creative in mind.

Connecting to The Aimers Kids Foundation/ Back Story:
I was on TikTok live and saw these amazing kids dancing and heard a hype man in the back feeding the children such good energy. I was commenting with excitement not thinking that this organization would notice or engage with me due to the amount of viewers and followers they had. They have 1.1 million followers and over 13 million views on TikTok. I reacted to their live saying that I loved their dancing and would like to work with them, not knowing fully the magnitude of their situation.

After getting off live we did not talk for a little while and the owner Dan reached out to me on TikTok and we added one another on WhatsApp. From there Dan spoke to me about how The Aimers Kids Foundation and explained to me that this is an orphanage and all of the 16 kids he had at the time had been found on the streets of Uganda, Kampala, Africa. Dan expressed how his foundation is donation based and that the kids do not eat unless they have donations. There were many days that the kids did not eat but still danced with a smile to create content for their TikTok fans across the globe. The children not being able to eat leads some to have ulcers in their stomach which leads to needing medical attention. One thing leads to another.

Dan showed me the condition of how he and the children lived. They had a one bedroom place with a living room. All sixteen children slept on the floor. They had no blankets or beds and still do not have them. Just a roof over their head.

Dan has added two more children to the Aimers Kids Foundation that he couldn't walk past on the street. We have embraced them, fed them and have even sent them to school.

Why GoFundMe:
I am creating this GoFundMe for many reasons. My Goal is to go to Kampala, Uganda to visit the children and see their living conditions and help them to sustain their livelihood, get them food, clothing and go to their school to meet their teachers and pay their school fees. I would like get the children bunkbeds, blankets, hygiene, medicals fees (check ups/ physicals at the doctor), many kids have been found off the street and need to be professionally assessed moving forward.

My goal is to stay for two weeks. One week with the children in a big house so we can cut down on transportation and the next week I move to a much smaller airbnb while they stay at their place. If you have it in your heart to donation, we greatly appreciate it. The funds are to help me get to Uganda but will mostly be spent on the children getting them sustained. This entire process will be vlogged and receipts can be shown through my actions towards this mission. I will to being going to Uganda alone. I am going with an experienced traveler to Kampala, Uganda and he works with the Divine Kids, another group needing many resources.
