Dad's hospital bills

We came very close  to losing my father this weekend. He lives alone for work and was MIA for days. Thankfully my sister got to him in time before we dealt with the worse case scenario. Any longer, and we would have lost him. Unfortunately, he does not have health insurance that covers hospital visits. He's been there since Saturday, and now has to go into a foot surgery that stemmed from an infection while his immune system was compromised. Recovery is two months just from that, so he will not be able to work. He will be moving back to Texas with my mom which also will be a financial burden on them. My family is asking for help to get us through this finacially tough and emotional time from friends and family. Any little bit helps.

I'd also like to take this time to inform the dangers of diabetics living alone and getting something as simple as the stomach flu. Which is where this  all stemmed from. It came close to killing my dad, and apparently it's not uncommon for diabetics to go into a coma and die because blood sugar rises so high during the flu . So please, check on your loved ones.

And thank you so so so so much to everyone that has kept us in their thoughts and prayers and for those of you who have reached out. Was a really tough few days for all of us (especially my mom, feeling helpless from so far away) and we couldn't be more grateful for all the support. And again, thank you Eden for saving his life
