Amanda Johns’ Medical & Monthly Expenses

Those who know Aj, know she is one of the most kind hearted and genuinely amazing people you could know. To know her, is to love her! She is an amazing mother to 3 children.

Last week she ended up in the emergency room due to worsening back pain where she had an MRI done. After meeting with a surgeon earlier this week to discuss the MRI she was told that the bone of her L5 vertebrae is sticking out 8mm, causing the disc itself to bulge out as well, bilateral L5 and S1 radiculopathy, narrowing. (Med terms: with advanced degenerative disc disease with severe disc bulge and large superimposed right paracentral disc extrusion extending 8mm, along with facet arthropathy, resulting in bilateral foraminal stenosis at her L5/S1)

Today, she underwent surgery for it all. An extensive surgery as such is hard enough to go through on its own. However, being out of work and not being able to bring in her normal income to provide for her little family is now her worry. Her surgery went well but she is now looking at 3-4 months of recovery before returning to work.

I have created this account for her in hopes that we can relieve her of some of her stress financially as she is a single mother. On top of her monthly expenses will also be her medical bills. Anything helps and even if you can’t, sharing and sending her good thoughts and prayers through this difficult time would be just as good!
