Help Danielle as she battles Cancer

Dear Friends, Family and Community Members

Unfortunately a few weeks ago the Hillock family received some difficult news about Danielle. Danielle has been diagnosed with Sinonasal mucosal melanoma as well as melanoma of the eye. She has begun an aggressive treatment plan that includes an operation to remove the tumour (done February 13th) as well as radiation and immunotherapy. Her excellent team of doctors are taking good care of her and are determined to achieve a positive outcome, however the road ahead will be challenging.

Danielle is a light to our community, not only as a nurse, but as a wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend. She has devoted so much of her life and energy in her profession for over 20 years. During this time she has helped and cared for countless members of our community and impacted so many peoples lives. Today, as Danielle faces these personal challenges of her own it is time to honour her and show our support and gratitude. Our goal is to help ease some of the burden by allowing the family some flexibility as they navigate through treatment and recovery.

Together, lets make sure Danielle knows how deeply she is cared for and supported. By rallying together we can show Danielle how much she means to us and how much we appreciate her. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful impact and allow Danielle and her family to focus on what matters most - her health and each other.
