Olá a todos, o meu nome é António, tenho 23 anos e sou de Setúbal.

A minha minha mãe foi diagnosticada com um cancro da mama em 2019/2020 entretanto após uma difícil batalha cheia de quimioterapia conseguiu "vencê-lo" ou pelo menos afastá-lo durante uns anos.

Em finais de janeiro deste ano, 2023, a minha irmã de 28 anos faleceu por motivos ainda por explicar na autópsia, algum tipo de doença cardiovascular, situação imensamente difícil para nós mas tentámos prosseguir com a mentalidade de que desde que nos tivéssemos uns aos outros tudo ia correr bem, algo que já nos mantinha confortáveis desde que sou pequeno, visto que passámos por grandes dificuldades monetárias durante a minha infância… Podíamos passar fome mas pelo menos tínhamo-nos uns aos outros e saúde, era o que nós os 5 acabávamos por pensar.

Até que apareceu um novo cancro à minha mãe, um tumor cerebral, após grandes complicações a minha mãe foi forçada a ir para o hospital fazer uma cirurgia complicada que correu bem, mas onde apanhou uma bactéria que resultou numa meningite, que acabou por ser a causa da morte a 19 de Junho. Encontro-me no presente dia sem as duas pessoas mais importantes que alguma vez passaram pela minha vida, as duas no mesmo ano.

Este gofundme originalmente ia ser para ajudar com os custos do tratamento da minha mãe, quando eu ainda tentava arranjar esperança onde ela não havia, mas as coisas progrediram demasiado rápido até o pior caso possível, peço portanto a vossa ajuda, os vossos fundos serão usados para nos ajudar com custos dos funerais, rendas, comida para o mês, e contas/dívidas por pagar, nós estamos mentalmente atacados com estas situações e sem saber para onde nos virar com o acumular de problemas, acabei por vir parar aqui.

Estou disponível para fornecer mais e necessárias informações que queiram saber, a minha mãe e irmã eram pessoas mesmo boas de coração e é algo que nunca vou ultrapassar nesta vida, só peço um bocado de ajuda com esta fase inicial, toda a quantidade de dinheiro importa por muito pequena que seja, tal como todas as mensagens de suporte, agradeço do fundo do coração.

Hello everyone, my name is António, I'm 23 years old and I'm from Setúbal.

My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019/2020 however after a difficult battle with a lot of chemotherapy she managed to "beat" it or at least keep it away for a few years.

At the end of January of this year, 2023, my 28-year-old sister passed away for reasons still to be explained in the autopsy, some type of cardiovascular disease, an immensely difficult situation for us but we tried to continue with the mindset that as long as we had each other everything was going to be fine, something that kept us comfy since I was little, since we went through great monetary difficulties during my childhood… We thought that we might starve but at least we had each other as well as health, or at least that’s what the 5 of us ended up thinking.

Until my mother developed a new cancer, a brain tumor, after major complications my mother was forced to go to the hospital to have a complicated surgery that went well, but where she caught a bacterium that resulted in meningitis, which turned out to be the cause of death on 19 June. I find myself today without the two most important people that have ever passed through my life, both in the same year.

This gofundme was originally going to help with the costs of my mother's treatment, when I was still trying to find hope where there was none, but things have progressed too quickly towards the worst case scenario, and so I'm asking for your help, your funds will be used to help us with funeral costs, rent, food for the month, and unpaid bills/debts, we are mentally attacked with these situations and not knowing where to turn towards, with the backlog of problems, I ended up here.

I'm available to provide as much information as possible for anything you might want to know, my mother and sister were really good people at heart and this is something I'll never get over in this lifetime, I'm just asking for a little bit of help with this initial phase, every amount of money matters no matter how small it is, as well as all messages of support, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
