3 Story Jump to Escape House Fire

Donación protegida
If you're not a big reader, let me cut to the chase. For the second time in 5 years, the Boulavsky's home has burned to the ground. But unlike the first, this time there were injuries and casualties. Of the 4 in critical care, Elaine and Khrysta Boulavsky have met the top of the list as they were forced to jump from their third story apartment to escape the billowing smoke and flames engulfing the family home. Both have sustained a number of major injuries in addition to losing their family home. All of this only 3 short weeks after Elaine's 2nd mastectomy.

The building was not equipped with a back stair escape, smoke alarms, sprinklers, etc. so they had no option but to jump.

Current injuries:
Khrysta (23): broken pelvis, broken tailbone, fractured spine, deflated lung, lung smoke, and a number of other minor injuries (burns, cuts, etc.)
*Khrysta does NOT have health insurance
*She also is getting married on December 1st and all of her wedding money was saved in cash and checks under her bed.

Elaine (54): broken pelvis (both sides), broken left ankle, broken left hip, and broken left and right tibias, broken ribs, lower lumbar fracture, lung smoke, and her recent (<3 weeks ago) mastectomy wounds had reopened in addition to a number of other minor injuries as well.

The two are separated--Elaine is at MUSC in Charleston and Khrysta at Grand Strand in Myrtle Beach.

Unfortunately, they were unable to save the beloved family dog, Klaus.

We are INCREDIBLY grateful that the two of them made it out alive after jumping out of the third story window and being dragged via rope barely escaping the collapse of the burning building, but thoughts and prayers only go so far.

We NEED your help. Please. I am begging. WE ARE BEGGING. As if one time wasn't enough, this amazing family has undergone this tragedy two times within less than 5 years.

Without health insurance from Khrysta and the innumerable injuries from the two, the medical bills are already soaring beyond the abilities of anyone in the family.

We ask that you give ANYTHING you can, from a prayer, to whatever you can afford. Every little bit counts!

Please share this page with your family, friends, your friends friends, strangers, anyone and everyone!

These two are fighters, but they need YOUR help.

Thank you for taking your time to read through this page, and God bless.

p.s. in addition to money, the family is in dire need of clothes, a living arrangement, legal assistance (the building had a number of fire safety hazards and if it weren't for their bravery, the fire would have been fatal). Thank you.
