AJ, my 18-year-old "gentle giant" nephew, was in a car accident with an 18-wheeler on Thursday morning, Nov. 5, 2015. He was driving home from college on hwy 290. The Prius he was driving was completely crushed on all sides except for where AJ was sitting. His back was broken completely at T6. He was taken to Brackentridge hospital and was in ICU for days. He had back surgery that was successful and now he needs to learn to walk again. When he leaves the hospital, AJ will go to a rehab center for several weeks. As a football and basketball athlete, AJ is familiar with pushing himself physically. He is determind to do all that it will take to fully recover--and will need all the support he can get to make it.

AJ's family needs help covering rehab costs and medical deductibles. Please help AJ walk again. Any amount will help. AJ's mom, Estephania, is self-employed and has not been able to work and tend to her business since AJ's accident.
