Thank you for your continued prayers for sweet Johannah! Any donations will be used for medical expenses, gas, and time off work for Jon. On Friday, September 1st, 2023, after throwing a fit with inaudible speech, falling asleep, vomiting, in her sleep, going limp, eyes rolling back, teeth grinding, and not being able to wake her up, we called 911 and she was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

There, it was discovered that she has a brain bleed on the left side of her brain and much prompt effort was put into flying her and myself (Frances, her momma) to a children’s hospital.

The cause of the bleeding is yet unknown, but trauma has been ruled out (no fall, etc). We also know that the area of the bleeding is in a high risk area of her brain, especially with her being right handed. It’s the area that controls her speech and comprehension.

If you know Jo, you know she’s likely the most brilliant, articulate little person (or just person in general?) you’ve met. We covet your prayers. We believe that God is good, God is sovereign, God is with us, and God loves our little girl more than we do.

Johannah deeply loves the Lord and spends much of her day worshiping Him in song and with her mind by asking deep theological questions and learning everything she possibly can about this world He made.
