On Wednesday June 4th, Kym was badly injured in a car accident when her brakes failed and she hit a tractor trailer. She was taken to the area Trauma Hospital and evaluated for injuries. She has undergone two surgeries; one for a compound fracture in her ankle and another for her collar bone. In addition she suffered four broken ribs, a broken sternum, a broken hand along with major bruising to her abdomen, internal organs, and legs. As well as a substantial concussion.
Kym was admitted to the Neuro-Trauma unit and spent nine days in the Inpatient Rehabilitation facility. She has now been sent home but has had to have medical equipment delivered and be setup on the first floor of her home. She will have Home Health, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and eventually outpatient therapy for a lengthy period of time at considerable cost.
Between the medical bills, medical equipment costs, rehabilitation, missed worked and further out of pocket expenses - the cost to Kym will be substantial. Friends and Family are asking for your support in helping Kym.
Kym continues to be inmobile with considerable pain and discomfort but is working hard every day to improve!
Please consider donating any amount and keeping Kym in your prayers for continued healing.
