The Carrillo Family

Hello, My name is Destiny Rosales. The reason I am creating this fundraiser is for a family that my mother recently had the privilege to meet. Celso and Ofelia Carrillo are an older hispanic couple that have faced a lot of hardships in their lives. From losing their 19 year old son to an unsolved homicide, having to provide for a daughter with special needs to now losing their oldest son, Omar, to irreversible brain damage (picture above). Due to Celso (husband) losing majority of his foot in a work accident involving acid, they go around picking up scraps of metal to sell as their only source of income. As you could imagine, their financial income is very limited so they live a very humble life. They are in a struggle right now as they have had to take time off from their hard labor in order to be there for their son. Now that they have been told he will not wake up, they are not only having to pay for funeral expenses all on their own , but also making sure they don’t lose their home and the little that they have worked so hard for. They have never asked for anything and are not even aware of this fundraiser being created, but my mother and I have been led in our spirits to help and hopefully surprise them with relief from their burdens. If you find it in your heart to give, anything is greatly appreciated, for they are very kind and humble. All proceeds will go directly to the family.
