Help Support the Family of A’Kera Scott in Their Time of Need
On October 25, 2024, A’Kera Scott was involved in a devastating car accident while traveling to Columbia Manor with a friend. A reckless driver collided with their vehicle head-on, leaving A’Kera with critical injuries. She was immediately life-flighted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, where she fought bravely but, tragically, succumbed to her injuries on November 6, 2024.
A’Kera was a beautiful soul, full of light and love, and she touched the lives of everyone around her. She leaves behind her loving mother, Alexis, her father, Earlie Barber; and her sister, Alyxiana, who are now grappling with an unimaginable loss. A’Kera’s family and friends are heartbroken and struggling to navigate life without her.
To help ease some of the financial burdens her family now faces, we’re reaching out to our community for support. Alexis, a single mother who has tirelessly worked two jobs to provide for her family, has been unable to work due to this tragic event. The costs of medical care, travel, and funeral arrangements, along with everyday living expenses, have quickly mounted. Any support you can offer will help provide some relief to this grieving family during this painful time.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful impact. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page to reach others who might be able to help.
Thank you for supporting the Scott family as they navigate this heartbreaking journey. Together, we can help ease the load and honor A’Kera’s memory.
