What is Step It Up:
Step It Up is a virtual steps competition to raise awareness and money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. In times like these it’s important to remember that getting outside, turning off your screens, and working on your physical fitness will help your mental fitness too!
Our Story:
AKPsi lost a brother to suicide in 2015 and we are raising money for him and all the others that need help. Mental health is a huge passion of our professional fraternity and we need your help to make a difference.
Event Details:
Step It Up will be held from 9 am on 4/19 to 11:59 pm on 4/25 (EST). Your task is to walk or run as many steps as you can during this week either as an individual or on a team (teams can have a maximum number of 10 participants).
Prizes: The top 3 individuals and top 3 teams will win prizes! We can ship prizes anywhere in the United States.
Event Registration:
Step 1: To participate you must make a $5 minimum donation to our gofundme. Remember to include your first and last name (and team name if applicable) when you make your donation. If you are donating on behalf of other participants, include their name(s) as well.

Step 2: Sign up for an account on Challenge Runner using the following link. Remember to list an email you check frequently because that is how we will contact you if you win.

Step 3: Download the Challenge Runner App and sign into your account. Link your Apple Health (or another fitness tracker such as Fitbit) to the app to automatically track and update your steps.
