Helping Al & Arlene Potter Bridge the Gap

If you know Al and Arlene Potter, you know a couple who have worked hard as leaders in their community, graciously shared their home, blessed their church family with more jerk chicken and turkey knuckles than anyone could ever count, and been a joy to all who know them.

This beloved family is experiencing serious, unforeseen challenges. In the midst of their recent relocation to Florida, Al was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. He has been unable to work due to the rapid onset of very challenging symptoms, including difficulty speaking and walking, and has been receiving short-term disability. Arlene has taken unpaid leave from her job to tend to the many tasks of moving, unpacking, settling in, supporting their children and being Al’s caregiver. Al’s short-term disability is at an end and the Potters are without income now as they wait for long-term disability to be approved. This income gap, in addition to the extra financial burden that moving has placed on them, has put the Potters in an unexpected and very difficult position.

Based on an estimated financial gap of $3,000 per month, we’ve set a goal to raise $10,000 to help bridge the gap for the Potters for the next three months as they seek God’s direction and provision for their future.
