On November 30th our good friend had a routine epidural injection to relieve his back pain. Unfortunately, during the procedure something went terribly wrong causing him to have a spinal stroke, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. Needless to say, this situation is devastating for Al and his wife Cheryl. Life as they knew it changed in an instant.
Al is in the hospital alone. Due to the current Covid restrictions, Cheryl is not able to be with him. They need to be together now more than ever. I can’t begin to imagine what they are going through.
Through the years no matter what they have gone through there is always laughter. For those of you that know Al & Cheryl, we all laugh with them or at them for their craziness. They are both always there for everyone and are too proud to ask for the help they are going to need. They are facing months of rehab, home modifications, vehicles the list is endless.
I’m hoping we can all come together to give them the support they need as they focus on moving forward on this difficult journey.
