- On April 26, 2023, Inspector Al Hughes with the Office of Inspector General of the Florida Departtment of Corrections was admitted into North Florida Regional Hospital for surgery for a medical condition. During this surgery, there were multiple other medical issues that have developed that the doctors did not know. As of todays date, Al is still curently in the hospital and has a very long road for the recovery process. Lindsey, his wife, has exhausted all of her sick leave from her place of employment, as she assist Al with his recovery process and possible additonal surgeries. Al and his family will endure financial difficulties during this time and his freinds and family wish to help Al and his family through this time.
