Help Al recover from top surgery

Endless thank you to all who have shared or donated. The love & support I have received in the last week is overwhelming & much appreciated.

So.. here’s the thing: I am raising my goal a little bit to cover out-of-pocket expenses that must be paid upfront for my insurance to take care of the rest. I’ve also found the cost of 1 week of lodging in SF to be a little more expensive than I had expected (taxes). Anything is much appreciated! I’m already so grateful for all of the kindness I’ve been shown.

Hey pals!

Some of you may know that I've been trudging through the arduous process of asking insurance to approve me for top surgery. well.... the day is here, babies! I have been approved and scheduled to have my surgery on May 15th with Dr. Alexander Facque at the Gender Confirmation Center in San Francisco, CA.

While my insurance is covering most of the surgical costs there are still many other expenses that I simply do not have the means to cover on my own.

I currently work as a Nanny and will need to take at least 4 weeks (potentially more) to recover since this job requires a lot of physical activity (carrying toddlers around is no joke). My sweet partner will be flying in from another state to help me in recovery. We will drive together from Los Angeles up to San Francisco the day before my surgery and stay for another week while I recover so I can receive proper post-op care.

Your donations will go towards travel expenses (flights, lodging, gas), necessary tools for my recovery (button-down shirts, bandages, pillows), Rent and bills and covering the basic cost of living for the time that I will be out of work.

I cannot say enough how excited I am to finally be here. I truly never thought I'd get to this stage in my journey and I am grateful for any help you may have lent along the way! I will be paying forward anything extra to other trans persons in need of gender-affirming care.
