Al Vida's medical expenses

Hi, My name is Gae Bridges and I am setting up this account for my friend Lynne Vida. Lynne has been married to Al Vida for many years. Al was like a father to me and they both have been my best friends for many, many years. When I heard about Lynne's financial situation, I couldn't stand by and do nothing. I had to do SOMETHING! Unfortunately, after many years of health issues, Al passed away on April 4. Al and Lynne had moved from Maui to Mexico in 2016 due to being priced out of paradise. Al's health was declining and required a full-time nurse to professionally care for him. He had a stroke in September 2019 and was bedridden for several years that required around-the-clock care.

Needless to say, medical care is expensive, even in Mexico and now Lynne is stuck trying to come up with the funds to pay the outstanding expenses. There is no insurance or Medicare in Mexico so every payment was out of pocket.

My goal isn't to just help pay some of the expenses but to also bring Al home to Maui. The place he never wanted to leave in the first place and have a proper memorial.

You can't think of Al without a smile coming to your face...he was one in a million! We all loved him.
