Al Zalewski

It is with a heavy heart and sadness to announce the passing of Al Zalewski.

Al was a Parsippany Soccer Club Board member for 25+ years. It was a pleasure to call him a friend and fellow board member over those years. Al started on the Board as an Intramural Division Director and moved on to VP of Purchasing, and VP of Facilities. and numerous times as VP of Travel and President. As well as serving on the Pride Tournament committee and other roles for the Club; Al also was a referee at both the travel level and the high school level.

Al spent as much time helping out the children of the Club after his children completed their time as when they were playing. He was able to watch not only his son and daughter grow through the Club (both became coaches for us), but also many others who to this day respectfully called him GM for what he did for them as a team manager. In many conversations with him, you could tell he appreciated the fact that kids he knew as 14 to 16-year-olds would still show their gratitude even though they were now 30 years old. That was Al, putting the kids and the Club first before many other things.

The Zalewski family (wife Arlene, son Kevin and fiancee Noralyn, daughter Stephanie, son-in-law Carl, and grandson Brayden) would like to have donations given to the Club in Al's memory. The donations will be used towards helping to keep kids playing for the Club; something Al always wanted.

Helping us in making a difference in the players' Parsippany Soccer Club experience and fulfilling the wishes of Al's family by donating will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause which means so much to us all.
