Help Alaa and Islam's family from Gaza

This fundraiser has been created by Juliana Farha, to help my friend Alaa Mahmoud leave Gaza and build a future for her children. I live in London, UK, and Alaa and I first met many years ago when I helped her acquire a violin, which she was very keen to learn how to play. This is her story.

I worked as an English teacher and my husband worked as a sales executive at various telecommunications companies in Gaza. Before Oct. 7, my family and I had a perfect life. Since then, our whole world has fallen apart. As a result of the unrelenting Israeli bombardment on Gaza, we lost our beautiful home which we put all our savings in and worked so hard to build (photo below). We are now trying to escape the war and build a new life, and to help our children forge a bright future.
