Holy 5-speed horses, Y'all!!

I've been invited to participate in the Midnight Sun Residency
at Gilsfjörður in  the country of Iceland and
I am beyond thrilled, surprised and most of all, honored
to be chosen for this amazing opportunity.



I will spend a month this summer (2021) in the Northwest of Iceland and am already plotting all I  will make and what I may bring back to share.

I am excited to participate in the cultural exchange and know this experience will affect my art for the rest of my life.

SO. What is this. 'Artist's Residency??'

"Artist-in-residence programs and other residency opportunities exist to invite artists, academicians, curators, and all manner of creative people for a time and space away from their usual environment and obligations. They provide a time of reflection, research, presentation and/or production. They also allow an individual to explore his/her practice within another community; meeting new people, using new materials, experiencing life in a new location. Art residencies emphasize the importance of meaningful and multi-layered cultural exchange and immersion into another culture. " -definitions.net

As this is a Gofundme, you have probably already guessed this has to do with funds (you are so smart!) I have applied for a few grants and had a wee bit put behind, but considering my  adjunct professor/artist paycheck, I could use a little support from my friends.

Your patronage is not wanted for free-- Nope! I WANT TO GIVE YOU ART!

Here are the tiers for donation and what you will receive if you  participate in this fundraiser.

 1.     5Speed Horse Level - $20.00

You will choose from 1 of the 5 images below.

These will be bite-sized awesome -- 5x5 , 6x7-etc., with 1.5" borders. All prints are limited-batch runs and will be numbered and signed.
Each will be printed on beautiful, archival paper and ready for framing.

(That means frames not included as in images)

2.    Þingvellir Level - $ 35.00

You will choose from 1 of the 5 images below.

These will be Medium-Magnificent-- 10 x10 , 8 x12-etc., with 1.5" borders.
All prints are limited-batch runs and will be numbered and signed.
Each will be printed on beautiful, archival paper and ready for framing.

(That means frames not included as in images)

3. Volcano Boom Level - $50.00

Here you will get a bite-sized photo print 
You will choose from 1 of the 5 images listed below.

AND an original piece of art made with textures from Reykjavik, Iceland.

I make rubbings and build collages in every place I travel. 
This will be a solo work, made just for you.

Hákarl (referred to as fermented shark in English) which is a national dish of Iceland. 

The stuff is beyond disgusting, so the video should be very entertaining.
