Help Alabama Hockey AAU get to Nationals!

Alabama Hockey AAU is headed to West Chester, Pennsylvania in hopes of bringing a National Championship Title back to Tuscaloosa! The boys are making a 930-mile trip to compete in the Division I Amateur Athletic Union’s annual National Tournament. This event is single-handedly the largest inter-collegiate tournament in all of North America. This year is extra special, as we’ve made the jump from Division II to Division I after all our immense growth and success from the previous years. The boys have worked extra hard this season to maintain our winning reputation, as we have secured our spot in this National Tournament for three consecutive years and are the only College Hockey South (CHS) team to make it out of pool play two years in a row. The boys would love nothing more than a chance to prove that the University of Alabama is dominant in ALL sports, including hockey. With that being said, we need YOUR help to get us there!

Being a student-run club team, the University provides us with little to no financial support, meaning all money comes out of our players’ pockets. With annual dues that increase each season, the money provided covers uniforms, equipment, travel, hotels, ice time, and much more. The players pay thousands of dollars to cover all costs for the season. This however does not include money for Nationals. Competing in games from March 6th-11th, the cost of this trip is very high and exceeds the limitations of our budget. With your support, we hope to use any money donated to aid the cost of the expenses including the bus, hotel, team meals, and much more. The boys have put their heart and soul into this team, and it would be absolutely devastating to have such an aspiring season end due to lack of funds. By donating, you are not only helping young men achieve their lifelong hockey dream of competing to win a National Title, but you are also helping prove that Alabama Hockey deserves to be recognized and respected nationally because club hockey IS college hockey.

All the players, coaches, and staff thank you for the continued excitement and support we’ve had throughout the seasons, and look forward to many more.
