Alaina Jane
Donation protected
Yesterday, March 15th, my brother's beautiful little girl, Alaina Jane Foreman, stopped breathing.
Not even three months ago, Aliana was born into a family far outnumbered by the boys. We all just knew she was a Christmas gift to bring some much needed civility to our rambunctious bunch. With such high hopes and expectations, the doctor's diagnosis of SIDS doesn't leave us with closure. When we saw so much purpose in a new, loved life, it is hard to see no purpose for her loss.
Alaina's heart was donated. A part of her will live on and give something to our community. I am starting this fund in the hopes that the community can give a little something, anything, back to my brother. The helicopter that picked Alaina up from her nanny and the emergency room's efforts to bring her back is going to add a strenuous financial burden to my brother and his family.
My father, an insurance agent, took out small life policies on all his grandkids. So we are hoping Josh and Candace have some support coming in for the rites and Alaina's resting place. We are also hoping the autopsy sheds some light into how this could have happened. Anything left from this fund after the healthcare costs are covered will be donated to help prevent this for other families, praying that we ever learn what could have been done to prevent it.
We will have more information about memorial services soon.
