Alaina King Support

We’re raising funds to help alleviate stress encountered by the King family as they anticipate surgery for Alaina. For 23 years Alaina has lived with gastroparesis, which has necessitated total bypass of her stomach. Alaina receives all her nutrition through IV feeding. She is one of very few who have lived this long on IV feeding.

Following nearly a week of hospitalization preparing for major stomach surgery which will hopefully reduce the complications of her fragile condition and give back quality of life, the surgery was unexpectedly postponed until April. Matt took the week off work to advocate for Alaina in the hospital. He will now be needing to take time away from work in April to be with Alaina in the hospital as well as post-surgery. Because of Matt’s recent change of employment, he does not qualify for FMLA.

Not only are the Kings facing mountains of medical bills, the loss of income along with the cost of being away from home for extended periods of time, renders a negative financial impact. We’re trusting the Lord to meet their needs, and hoping to be the hands and feet of Jesus in a tangible way.
