Alan Freeman Cataract Removal Surgery
Donation protected
My Name is Scott Freeman, and this picture has me (on the right), My mother in the middle and my big brother on the left Alan Freeman. Alan is my only brother, and he means the world to me. It is hard to find the words sometimes, but for this purpose, I will try.
Alan has been a truck driver for more than 20 years, it has been his life career, and he is good at it. When it comes to working, he wants nothing more than to be able to go and do his job to the best he can, get paid for it, and try to enjoy life. Seven months ago, Alan was laid off from his last job, it hit him hard, and left him with no income.
Four months ago, Alan started having issues with his vision and ability to see. Come to find out he has cataracts in both eyes. Now he is at a point where he can't see, and can't get a job as a result of the condition. Because he is out of work, he does not have insurance and has tried to get it through Medicaid, but has been unsuccessful.
With cataracts he has, getting them removed, will cost $12,000 per eye.
He does not have the available funds, and the family is already stretched and does not have the available money to have the procedure done. Because he can not work, he is about to lose his house. He is in a position, where he needs help, and I am creating this fundraiser to help him. I am hoping and praying that this campaign will get out there, and help my brother become independent again. I am hoping with the successful cataract surgery it will allow him to get back to work as well. For those who see this, I am praying that you can look within, donate and help my brother. I want to have faith, and pray that we can raise the money needed to allow him to get the procedure done asap, for him to be independent again. Thank you.
