Alan Hester and his fight with ALS.

Donation protected
Dear friends of Alan,

A few friends and family have come together to ask for your help.

Alan was diagnosed with ALS Lou Gehrig's disease on 12/20/2023. It's an understatement to say that this is a very brutal disease. It takes so much out of the patient and caregiver as life changes each week and each month with their needs. Alan and Rosanne are facing these challenges with grace, sustained by their faith and backed by support from friends and family. But emotionally, it's been a rollercoaster. The anxiety and stress they've endured has taken a toll.

As Alan's condition progresses, they are finding themselves under increasing financial stress. Some of their expenses include out-of-pocket medical bills, home health care, home modifications, high electric bills due to equipment plugged in 24/7, and more. Their wish is to purchase a portable shower, a bidet toilet, and possibly a Hoyer lift and stair chair lift.

Alan no longer works and they rely on Rosanne's income. Rosanne is planning on taking unpaid FMLA when the appropriate time comes.

This is where we come in, and where you can come alongside them too. We're stepping up to ask for your help. They're too humble to ask, but we know they need it.

When God decides Alan's battle with ALS is over, he will leave behind his wife Rosanne and children, Caleb, Jake, Sam and Caroline along with Rosanne's son and daughter, Will and Ellie. Our wish, our hope is for Alan to be able to enjoy the remaining time he has with Rosanne and his six children in comfort, with dignity and without worry about what expenses will remain from this deadly disease after he is gone. Time with family and friends has always been treasured by Alan. The deep connection that only comes from time well spent with those whom he loves dearly.

Alan continues to love life, just as he always has done. His authentic love for others and his love for his God remains an inspiration. Your generous donations will directly support his ongoing medical needs and grant him access to therapies and assistive devices that will enhance his quality of that life he loves. Any contributions will enable him to make adjustments at home, allowing for a safer and more comfortable environment as this relentless disease progresses.

Alan and Rosanne tremendously appreciate each and everyone's prayers, encouragement, friendship, and support during this season of much affliction. They both believe they were meant to come into each other's lives not only for this purpose of foraging through this battle in togetherness, but also in receiving the many blessings over the past 3 years of marriage. They believe that God has plans of turning this journey into good and will be used for His glory.

Alan and Rosanne reside in Zionsville, Indiana.

(We can provide their Venmo account, if that's a better way to donate)

Many thanks in advance to each and every one of you!
