Alan Pate’s Road to Recovery

Alan suffered a stroke late November 9, 2023 on his evening of his 51st Birthday. He was rushed to Mayo Clinic and is currently suffering from left sided weakness and is unable to sit or stand independently. He is being transferred to Brooks Rehab to receive inpatient stroke rehabilitation which will be several weeks. Unfortunately, medical insurance will not cover the inpatient rehabilitation cost and Alan and Carrie could really use the help to not have this financial hardship limit the care Alan receives. Alan has been out of work since February from a traumatic brain injury (work related) accident which is making his medical care more complex and the financial stress even more burdensome. Please help this family recover and get Alan home and healthy as soon as possible, would love to see him standing on his own to put the Angel on top of the Christmas Tree this holiday season! We will post updates here to be able to cheer Alan on throughout his rehab process!!

11/17/23 update- Alan has made it to Brooks Rehab and has been working hard in PT and OT! 3 hours of each every day. He is standing with the help of his therapists and taking some assisted steps!!! Go Alan we are all rooting for you and thank you to everyone that donated!! He still has several weeks of intensive rehab so any donation will help! Not only help Alan receive medical care he needs but also help the family be able to be there to support Alan as much as possible. Thank you!
