In memory of Alan Walsh
Donation protected
Last week my partner and her family received the worst news any family could receive. Her brother unexpectedly passed away over in Australia, the family are understandably broken.
Alan was only 26 and still had his whole life ahead of him. I’m so sorry I never got a chance to meet Alan, we were due to meet for the first time in November in Tenerife for a family holiday.
The love and support I have witnessed first hand from the community and everyone who was lucky enough to meet him over the last week has been unbelievable, he was clearly loved by all who knew him.
The Kevin bell repatriation trust have been amazing in taking over arrangements to get him home from Australia and back to his family.
I wanted to do something in his memory so me and my three brothers and two brother in laws have decided to run a half marathon to raise some money to give back to the charity and also hopefully to help the family with the hard times ahead.
We will be running a half marathon on the 25th of November “which also happens to be his birthday” at the Clonakilty event in Cork Ireland.
Any donations would be hugely appreciated, and once again would like to thank the charity for all that they are doing.
