Alanah, Kameron and Their Premature Baby Boy
Donation protected
We are looking to get financial help for our frriends Alanah, Kameron and their new baby boy. In November Alanah was hospitalized with severe pre-eclampsia. They tried multiple times to stop her labor and keep baby River from being born as long as possible.
On December 1st baby River was born weighing only 2lbs 9 ounces at Providence Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, over an hour away from their home. While Alanah has now been discharged, baby River is still in the NICU and will remain there until he is strong enough to come home.
Alanah and Kameron have been staying in a hotel in the area. This hotel is not in the safest area and they are currently waiting to see if they can get their son transferred to Issaquah. This would allow them to be in a better area and closer to home.
The financial hardship of a situation like this is unimaginable. Alanah has obviously been unable to work and Kameron has taken a leave from working as well to ensure he was by her side the entire time.
Instead of bringing home their beautiful baby, River will be staying in the NICU for the foreseeable future. Alanah and Kameron will be coming back and forth from Cle Elum and staying nearby as much as possible in order to be with their son and create some sense of normal life.
During this time, bills don’t stop. This has put great financial stress on these new parents, who now have to continue to pay for meals, travel, regular day-to-day bills, all while taking a leave of absence from work.
We hope to help raise some of these funds and give them one less pressure in this new wonderful but challenging part of their life. Any little bit will help give this wonderful family some relief so they can focus solely on the health and well-being of their son.
