Alanis Family Flood Relief
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Gustavo Flores, and my grandparents were recently impacted by the May 31st flood that affected Houston and Rosenberg, TX.
Unfortunately, they lost everything during the flood because their house ended up with about 5 feet of water. Everything from their furniture and beds, to the clothes they had, to pictures and even the house is ruined. I am creating this account hoping that they can get some help, along with the help that my family is giving.
They are very lucky in that my family has a big house and they are staying with us, but they also lost everything they had in the flood. They are working hard to re-build their house already, but even between all our family members, it’s going to cost more than what we have.
My grandparents have worked very hard for everything they had, and then it just got lost in a few days when the flood came. They have worked all their lives, coming from Mexico and doing hard jobs just to get their kids through school. Now that they are older, they had finally found a good home and were comfortable living in a small house close to the river.
That is gone now, and we are just asking for any help you can give to help us help them rebuild their life again. I will update pictures as we start working on things, so you can see the progress they’re making.
They are just one of the thousands of families that are homeless right now, but this is what I am trying to do to help. Anything is really appreciated by all of us in the Alanis family.
God Bless you all.
