Alans 42.2k run for St Fiaccs & Fit Kids Carlow

Hi, my name is Alan Edwards and I have decided to run, walk or crawl the Dublin City Marathon 2022. This is my second marathon which I didn't think possible after a catalogue of injuries over the last 24 months. But after testing the water on the roads this week I have made the decision to undertake the 42.2k for two worthy local causes.

My first cause is my children's soccer team, St Fiaccs FC who are fundraising for a defibrillator and pitch development. The FAI Heart Care Programme our club have been selected for aims to ensure that everyone playing football in Ireland is within 3 minutes of a lifesaving AED. 

My second cause is for my daughters Fit Kid Carlow team who will travel to represent Team Ireland at European Championships in Hungary in December.
