Albany Huskies Soccer - Self funding

In the fall of 2022 the Albany Avon Soccer Club (AASC) approached the school board with a proposal to implement a boys soccer team under the Minnesota State High School League. At the time the board had just approved girls soccer and could not justify adding the boys team. So the club worked tirelessly to overcome the concerns the board had about field space, bussing, costs and more. We met multiple times with multiple committees as well as the athletics director and superintendent.

On 11/8/2023 the school board voted to approve the creation of a JV boys program for the Fall of 2024 with the stipulation that the program be funded by the Albany Avon Soccer Club until such a time as the school could absorb the cost.

So we come to you now asking for your help in funding the Huskies Boys Soccer team. Our projected cost for 2024 is between $20-25,000. Any excess funds will be rolled over to help fund the 2025 season (which will also hopefully have a Varsity team) and beyond.
