Albaradei’s Family Rebuild their destroyed lives

I'm Mohammed Al-Baradei (Instagram), a 24-year-old dentist, and a dreamer of the once-vibrant, now-destroyed streets of Gaza. My world, like my family's, has been turned upside down by a relentless war that spares no one.

Our family home in Tal al-Hawa in the Gaza Strip, once a haven of laughter and love, is now completely destroyed by the relentless touch of war. Every corner of the devastation around us is a stark reminder of the peace and tranquility that seem like distant dreams. Within these broken walls, my family, which includes my parents, brothers, and younger nephew, clings to shards of hope. We live in constant fear of getting lost under the rubble or succumbing to the relentless barrage of missiles. This war not only destroyed our physical habitat, but also destroyed our pillars of education. The university where I studied dentistry and graduated at the top of my class is now in ruins, a poignant symbol of our shattered educational aspirations. My siblings, previously eager to embark on their educational journey, now stand at a crossroads, with the wreckage of war blocking their paths to learning and growth.

My father's carpentry was destroyed for the third time in this war. Also, my mother had opened a kindergarten to teach children, It was completely destroyed, in addition to my brother's office for photography and editing, which he opened just before the war. It was bombed and all the photography equipment and devices were destroyed, and now there is no source of income left to restore even a part of this life that was.

I aspire to complete my studies (high studies) abroad and find a suitable opportunity and environment for work.

In Gaza, the birthplace of my dreams, the landscape has been permanently changed by war. This war has taken much more from us than just our homes and familiar surroundings. We have also been robbed of what we hold dear
