Albert Adamkoski Jr.

On July 8th, my brother unexpectedly passed away in a tragic drowning incident on The Great Sacandaga Reservoir. During a family outing with some friends, they docked at an island in Mayfield. Four children were playing on a sand bar when they slipped off the drop off and struggled to fight the current. The adults were able to get three of the children to shore but one of his daughters was being pulled out quickly and was getting further and further away. Albert sprung to action as he quickly swam to her as she was going under. He lifted her above the water but took in a lot of water as he swam her to a bystander who helped to bring her in. As he passed her off, he submerged into the water and did not resurface. Albert was the Pastor of the Log Cabin Church located on Progress Rd. He was one of a kind, a hardworking father and husband who just purchased Lakeview Orchards a year ago. He was avid in his faith and loved selflessly, serving God and helping others to know Jesus. This fundraiser is to help pay for his funeral and burial expesses as well as to financially support his wife Hannah and their 4 children he leaves behind at home, ages 6, 8, 12, and 13. He also has 2 older children who are 25 & 24.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday July 13, 2022 for family at 1:30, and friends from 2 to 4pm. A funeral service will follow from 4 to 6pm. Internment will be held at a later date in Houston TX. Services will be held at his church "The Log Cabin Church" located at 413 Progress Rd.
