Medical expenses for Albert

This GoFundMe fundraiser has been set up for our father, Albert E. Boyce, also known as Yogie Bear. Al is a kind-hearted and helpful person, a wonderful father and an even better Papa to his grandchildren. He is always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needs it and has a knack for fixing things. As the saying goes, "If Papa can't fix it, it's probably can't be fixed."

Unfortunately, two weeks ago, while he and my mother were in Florida, Al started experiencing severe abdominal pain. He was admitted to the hospital where a mass was discovered on his liver. He underwent several tests, including a biopsy and an MRI, which revealed that the mass is 10.8x7.1x7.0 cm in size. After five days in the hospital, he returned to their Florida home, but his primary care physician in Vermont advised him to come home immediately. He has since met with specialists at the University of Vermont and has been diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma. Further tests and scans will help determine the full extent of the cancer, and we are taking each day as it comes.

During this challenging time, our parents could use some extra support. We are asking for any help that can be provided to ease the financial burden of medical costs, travel expenses, and lodging. Our family is grateful for your support, and we appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and well wishes.
