ALBERT NEEDS OUR HELP FOR EMERGENCY SURGERY
Donation protected
This is Albert who spent weeks in a far western NSW pound. He is the sweetest little dude, now in rescue care he needs HELP urgently
Albert is only 12-18mths old and yesterday he underwent life saving surgery. He only came into care a week ago, and in that short time apart from requiring entropian surgery on both eyes, he’s now become seriously unwell, vomiting, diarrhoea, he hasn’t been able to eat since Saturday.
The major emergency surgery for suspected Intussusception. This is a condition in which part of the intestine telescopes into itself.
Intussusception is a medical emergency involving obstruction of the intestine. It can be fatal unless surgically corrected. Poor Albert has been in the best of care on numerous IV drips to help support his system through this major surgery.
He’s gone through so much already, rescued from a rural pound (initially found covered in ticks), we were afraid he may have lost his sight as he was so inhibited by his eyes that he could not open them to see. He came through this surgery, only to now have to undergo another major operation.
He will require intensive post surgical care for a week with a feeding tube, and the Vet has estimated the total cost to be $5,000 - $6000
His carer has said he has a heart of gold, and even in his condition is still trying to wag his tail every time he sees her.
Please send your thoughts and prayers and please if you can help donate towards his vet costs, together we can help him get through this. We are really struggling and really need your help. Every donation helps no matter how small it is much appreciated.
I wish there was more we could do, but we have to wait now and hope he pulls thru, with your help he has a chance!
Thank you.
