My name is Julia Davis and I am raising funds to cover various expenses due to the passing of my father. On November 11th, 2022 (Veterans Day) my father was badly injured in a single car accident around 5:30 in the morning. He was transported from his town of Calico Rock, Arkansas to Little Rock, where he eventually passed on the 19th due to various complications including a severe brain bleed and pneumonia.

My brother and myself have been doing everything we can from afar to handle all of the various tasks that arise when someone passes. Through our investigations, we are now understanding that our dad was likely in the “moderately severe decline” stage of dementia; his condition progressed rapidly over this year after he suffered the loss of his wife in February and fell into a deep depression.

Though our relationship with our dad was complicated and difficult at times, we are absolutely devastated that he is no longer with us. Even with the complexities of our family dynamic, we all shared a lot of love between us. Our dad did his best in his life, and while it wasn’t without pain and hardship, he always made sure that we knew he loved us.

We are seeking financial assistance to cover the cost of his transportation and cremation, his final expenses, the cost of our travel out to Arkansas to tie up (the many) loose ends, as well as a rescue mission to save his remaining 6 (of 10) dogs (4 have already been placed in new homes) and have them relocated to Asheville, NC where there are more resources and so they will not be euthanized.

Any contribution is deeply appreciated. We are rattled, heartbroken, and want to do our best to honor our fathers wishes and properly close this final chapter of his life. Thank you for your willingness to help us.
