Albury's Sail Shop, Man O War Cay
Donation protected
Albury's Sail Shop.
Having had the privilege of getting to know the Ladies of the sale shop over the years I have lived on Man O War Cay I am saddened to see that their building was destroyed by hurricane Dorian.
This fundraiser is to help raise money for Mrs Annie Albury and the ladies of the sail shop to rebuild or relocate and to purchase replacement equipment and supplies when they are ready. These funds could also be used by the sail shop to help cover lost wages as the rebuild gets underway. Mrs Annie's grandson, Charles Bethel, is accepting the funds raised here on behalf of his grandmother and will make sure all funds reach Mrs Annie and the Ladies of the sail shop, including his fiance Amelia.
Man O War bags last a life time or two. If you already own one you treasure it as we also treasure the smiling faces of the Ladies that greeted us when we first walked in to the sail shop.
To everyone out there who proudly carries their Man O War bag on their travels, please consider donating here to support and resurrect this treasure on Man O War Cay. To anyone who doesn't already have a Man O War bag - you need one! So let's help get the sail shop back up and running to make sure these beautiful sturdy bags, and the smiles we receive when we go in to buy one, keep coming for generations to come.
